One System for ESG Data
Instead of ESG data living in spreadsheets, emails, and disconnected files, ESGdesk™ gives organizations one internal system where ESG information is collected consistently, reviewed responsibly, and preserved over time.
Turn ESG data from an obligation into a controlled internal process
ESGdesk™ helps companies take control of their ESG data by providing a structured, reliable, and repeatable way to collect, manage, and internally report ESG information across teams and locations. Data is structured around the EFRAG Voluntary SME (VSME) Basic Module — disclosures B1 to B11 — so your internal collection is already shaped for VSME-aligned reporting.
Instead of ESG data living in spreadsheets, emails, and disconnected files, ESGdesk™ gives organizations one internal system where ESG information is collected consistently, reviewed responsibly, and preserved over time.
For many organizations, ESG data is:
This creates risk, inefficiency, and uncertainty — especially as ESG expectations increase internally and externally.
ESGdesk™ addresses these challenges by introducing structure, accountability, and clarity into ESG data management.
ESGdesk™ is designed around one principle: make ESG data manageable as a normal internal process, not as a one-off reporting project.
This allows companies to build continuity and confidence in their ESG data over time.
Speed up data collection with AI-powered document scanning powered by Gemini 2.5 Flash. Upload utility bills, invoices, and waste reports — ESGdesk™ automatically extracts relevant ESG data, supports multi-month documents with pro-rata distribution, and prepares everything for review.
Scanned documents are automatically linked as evidence files, maintaining a complete audit trail.
Available on all plans: Free (3 total), Standard (30/month), PRO (unlimited).
AI features are powered by Google's Gemini models. AI processing may include data transfer to the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. See our sub-processors page for details.
Which mode to use? Use AI Scan Mode for scanning invoices (Electricity, Gas, Fuel, Water, Waste). Use Manual Entry Mode for Working Conditions, Employment, Payment Transparency and Finance data. Scanned categories map primarily to VSME B3 (Energy & GHG Emissions), B6 (Water & Marine Resources) and B7 (Resource Use, Circular Economy & Waste); manual-entry categories feed B8 (Workforce — General), B9 (Workforce — Health, Safety & Training), B10 (Workforce — Pay, Training & Living Wage) and B11 (Convictions & Fines).
ESGdesk™ organizes ESG information into clearly defined sections:
The focus remains on data quality and internal clarity, not on storytelling.
ESGdesk™ includes a built-in Carbon Footprint Calculator that automatically computes CO₂e emissions from your entered ESG data across all locations and categories.
All calculations use country-specific emission factors from the Methodology Data. Results are rounded to ISO 14064-1 standards (2 decimal places for tCO₂e).
Track on-site renewable energy production and calculate the renewable share of your energy consumption. ESGdesk™ supports three types of renewable energy sources per location.
RES data feeds directly into the Carbon Footprint and is included as a dedicated chapter in both Management Extract and Audit-Ready reports.
Whether you operate from one site or across multiple plants, offices, or regions — ESGdesk™ adapts to your structure. It serves as a central tool for collecting ESG data from different sources and teams.
Assign many users across one or more locations. Each contributor enters data for their area of responsibility, while administrators maintain full visibility and control.
ESGdesk™ consolidates data from different sources into one structured system — replacing scattered spreadsheets and emails.
ESGdesk™ uses a simple and effective role model:
manage users, locations, reporting years, and reports
focus on entering data for assigned locations
time-limited, read-only review access across all locations
Accountability is built into the system, not enforced manually.
A core strength of ESGdesk™ is the Reporting Year concept.
By allowing reporting years to be opened, closed, and locked, companies can:
Once a Reporting Year is closed, data becomes read-only, protecting the integrity of finalized information.
ESGdesk™ provides a dedicated Data Input Progress dashboard that gives Admins and Contributors visibility into the status of ESG data collection across the organization.
Admins see progress across all locations; Contributors see only their assigned areas.
This helps teams prioritize data entry and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
ESGdesk™ generates structured internal ESG reports in PDF and CSV formats. Both export options are available to Administrators with an active subscription.
Universal Appendix — included in both Management Extract and Audit-Ready Report (2 sections):
Audit-only Appendix — Audit-Ready Report only (PRO plan, 3 sections):
Use the AI Executive Summary Generator to create a professional narrative summary of your ESG performance. You can refine, edit, translate, and include it in your final report.
PDF provides professional formatted reports. CSV enables detailed data analysis and audit integration.
This ensures consistency, traceability, and control over internal ESG reporting.
For organizations requiring audit-grade ESG documentation, the PRO plan provides Audit-Ready reports with full data integrity controls.
Audit-Ready reports use the terminology "audit-ready" or "audit-ready." ESGdesk™ does not claim official ISO certification — it provides the technical framework to support audit readiness.
PRO plan users can grant time-limited, read-only access to external auditors through a dedicated Auditor Portal.
Auditor access is strictly separated from user accounts. Auditors cannot modify data.
Administrators can add optional explanatory notes at section level to provide context where needed.
If no notes are added, reports remain purely data-driven. ESGdesk™ never forces narrative where it is not required.
ESGdesk™ allows Account Admins to review and customize the emission factors and calculation parameters used across all reports. This ensures your reports reflect your organization's specific context and methodology requirements.
Changing emission factors will recalculate Carbon Footprint and ESG Financial Performance results. All changes are tracked and can be reset to platform defaults at any time.
ESGdesk™ embeds governance directly into its design through:
This reduces operational risk and removes reliance on informal controls or manual discipline.
